On the other hand, Daemon has married Lady Laena Velaryon and they live peacefully outside the kingdom, but it does not last long since Laena, faced with a problematic birth, decides to ask her dragon Vhagar to kill her. The episode ends with Lord Varys, a weird character similar to Littlefinger from Game of Thrones killing his father and brother, who are at the time Hand of the King and the biological father of Rhaenyra's children.

Alicent and the green team declare Aegon, the first son of Alicent and Viserys, to be the rightful king, even though he is a drunken and disturbed boy who has neither the desire nor the will to be king. So, while they are crowning him before the whole town, Rhaenys Targaryen appears on his giant dragon, smashing everything and sending a message to the greens.
