HBO Max has finally released the first teaser trailer for Velma series, the spin-off of the well-known and beloved 90s animated series Scooby-Doo. As soon as the series was presented, the Internet began to do its work of criticism and social media have caught on fire. And rightly so, because the decisions they have made regarding the direction of the series give much to comment on...

Velma will be an animation series for adults in which the origin of the character will be told with a dose of nudity, gore and dark humor. A detail that had already been revealed was Velma's sexual orientation: Velma is lesbian. While this may have surprised some, it has simply been commented on among the fans.

However, what is being criticized the most is that the classic dog Scooby, Shaggy's faithful companion, will not be part of the team. Apparently the showrunners are looking for an adult-oriented product and, according to Charlie Grandy, "What made Scooby-Doo a series for children was Scooby-Doo”. If this wasn't enough, Shaggy, who is probably the funniest and most beloved character in Scooby-Doo, has been completely changed by reformulating his character. This decision has not been liked at all by his fans, which, by the way, are many, since he was part of popular culture thanks to the memes.
